Viewing every branch at once
What the consolidated all-branches view is, who can enter it, what you can and can't do from there, and what it's really for: reviewing the history of a branch that's already been closed.
When your business has more than one branch, there's a view built for leadership that brings all of them together on a single screen. This article explains what it is, who can enter it, what you can review or edit from there and what you can't, and why it's the only way to review the history of a branch that no longer exists.

When to use this
- You need to see the data of all your branches together, without switching between them.
- You want to review the sales or invoicing history of a branch that no longer exists.
- You don't understand why you can't create an order or an invoice while in this view.
Before you start
- You need the
branches:access-allpermission to enter this view. The business's Owner always has it, without anyone needing to grant it. - No other factory role includes this permission by default. To give it to someone else - a partner, a general manager - go to Settings → Roles and permissions.
- If your business has a single branch and you've never deleted one, you won't see anything described in this article: there's nothing to consolidate yet.
What it is
It's a view that shows the data of all your branches together instead of one at a time. Instead of separate reports and lists per location, you see the whole business from a single place - built for whoever runs the operation, not for someone doing day-to-day work at one specific branch.
Who can see it
It requires the branches:access-all permission. The account owner always has it, whatever their role. For anyone else - a partner, a general manager - an administrator has to add that permission to their role from Settings → Roles and permissions; no factory role includes it by default.
How you get in
You can enter this view in two ways:
- By picking it where you'd normally pick a branch - on the screen that asks you to select a branch when you log in, it shows up as an extra option, marked as read-only.
- From the branch switcher in the header - if you already have a session open and want to switch to the consolidated view without signing out.
It's read-only for documents tied to a branch
This is the most important thing to understand: the consolidated view is read-only for documents that belong to a specific branch - orders, invoices, cash-register movements, and generally anything a document records against one location of the business. You can review those from here, but to create or edit an order, an invoice, or a movement you need to be inside a specific branch: if you try from the consolidated view, Mosce ERP asks you to pick one first.
Not everything is read-only. Products, clients, and your account's general settings don't belong to any particular branch, so they keep being created and edited normally while you're in the consolidated view, just like at any other time.
What it's really for
Its most important use isn't just "seeing everything together" - it's the only way to review the sales and invoicing history of a branch that's already been deleted. Once a branch is deleted, it stops showing up as an active option to pick, but its already-issued documents are kept (see Deleting a branch). Without the consolidated view, that history would be out of reach: there's no active branch left to view it from.
If your business has a single branch
If you've never created a second branch or deleted one, you won't see this option in any switcher, and that's expected: with a single branch there's nothing to consolidate. This behavior only shows up once your business has, or had, more than one.
Common mistakes
| Symptom | Likely cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| I don't see the "All branches" option in any switcher | Your user doesn't have the branches:access-all permission, or your business has a single branch | Ask an administrator to grant you the permission, or confirm how many branches your business has |
| I can't create an order or an invoice while in this view | The consolidated view is read-only for documents tied to a branch | Pick a specific branch from the switcher before creating the document |
| I can't find the history of a branch I deleted | A deleted branch stops showing up as an active option | Enter the all-branches view to review its history |
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit a client or a product from the consolidated view?
Yes. Products, clients, and general settings don't belong to any branch, so they're edited the same way while in this view.
Does the account owner need to be granted the branches:access-all permission?
No. The Owner always has access to this view without anyone needing to grant it, same as with every other permission.
Can I collect a pending order while in the consolidated view?
No. Collecting, invoicing, or recording any movement against a document requires being inside a specific branch. Mosce ERP asks you to pick one before continuing.
Does viewing all branches count as an extra branch against my plan's limit?
No. It's a way of looking at the branches you already have, not a branch in itself. Only actual branches count against your plan's limit.
