Billing and subscription

How to view your plan, change it, handle the trial period, update the payment method, and download your Mosce ERP subscription invoices.

Mosce ERP is billed through Stripe. You have four plans (Free, Starter, Professional, Enterprise), a 30-day trial period when you subscribe to a paid one, and a Stripe portal where you view invoices and manage your payment method.

Reading time: ~7 min

When to use this

  • You want to know which plan you're on and when it renews.
  • You need to upgrade or downgrade to unlock modules or save money.
  • You have to change the payment card, tax data, or download invoices.
  • You're going to cancel the subscription at the end of the period.

Before you start

  • You have to be the owner or administrator of the tenant to manage the subscription.
  • Actions that mutate the subscription (change plan, cancel, reactivate) go to Stripe live, so you'll see the effects in your Stripe portal almost immediately.

The plans

Mosce ERP has four service tiers. The following table shows the operational limits of each:

Each plan sets limits (users, products, transactions/month, warehouses, cash registers, bank accounts, storage) and available modules. To see which modules each tier unlocks, check Modules.

The trial period

When you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time, Mosce ERP adds 30 days of free trial at checkout. Nothing is charged until the trial ends. During that window:

  • You see the countdown in Settings (the Days to trial end field).
  • The tenant stays in trial status until the first cycle is charged, which then becomes active.
  • If you cancel during the trial, you keep access until the end of the trial period.

How to view your current plan

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. The subscription section shows the plan (Starter, Professional, etc.), the status (Trial, Active, Past due, Cancelled, etc.), the next renewal date, and, if you're on a trial, the remaining days.

Changing plan

  1. From Settings, open the subscription section and choose the target plan/interval.
  2. Confirm. Mosce ERP sends the order to Stripe with automatic proration: if you upgrade mid-cycle, Stripe charges only the proportional difference; if you downgrade, it credits.
  3. The system updates via webhook. In seconds you'll see the new tier reflected and the higher plan's modules can be activated.

What happens to your session when you change plan:

  • If you upgrade, you don't have to sign out or back in. Your session updates by itself in the same browser and the higher plan's modules and limits are available right away. If you have the app open in several tabs, all of them reflect the new plan.
  • If you downgrade or cancel, your session is closed for security to reapply clean access at the lower tier. You return to the sign-in screen and, when you sign in again, the app already operates with the limits and modules of the corresponding plan.

If you move to a plan that doesn't include modules you have turned on (for example you downgrade from Professional to Starter while Accounting is active), you can keep using those modules until you turn them off manually; but you won't be able to reactivate them once you turn them off.

Updating payment data, RNC, and billing address

Mosce ERP delegates this part to Stripe's Customer Portal. From Settings, click the button to open the portal: a temporary URL is generated and you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted page where you can:

  • Change the default card or payment method.
  • Edit the billing address and tax ID (RNC, NIT, etc. - this appears on Stripe's invoices, not on the invoices you issue to your customers from Mosce ERP).
  • View the full invoice history and download them as PDF.
  • Update the email where receipts arrive.

When you finish, you automatically return to Mosce ERP.

Downloading subscription invoices

You have two ways:

  • List inside Mosce ERP - Settings exposes the invoice history read from the local mirror. You'll see number, date, amount, and status (paid, pending, failed).
  • Stripe Customer Portal - from the portal button, on the Invoices tab. Here you download the official PDF.

Cancelling the subscription

  1. In the subscription section, click Cancel.
  2. Mosce ERP schedules the cancellation at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until that date.
  3. In the meantime the status stays active with the cancels at period end flag. If you change your mind, click Reactivate and the flag is removed (nothing extra is charged, it's still the same cycle).
  4. When the date passes, the tenant becomes cancelled. Your data remains intact; to operate again, create a new subscription from Settings.

Expected result

  • After any change, the subscription panel reflects the real status in less than a minute (the time it takes Stripe to fire the webhook).
  • The toasts confirm each action: Plan updated, Cancellation scheduled, Cancellation reverted.
  • The payment method and tax data live in Stripe; Mosce ERP only shows the last 4 digits and the card brand.

Common mistakes

  • The webhook didn't arrive and my plan doesn't change. Wait 1 - 2 minutes. If it persists, check the Stripe portal (the subscription already changed there) or contact support.
  • Past due status. Stripe couldn't charge the last cycle. Open the portal and update the card; Stripe retries automatically.
  • Incomplete status. The first payment required 3DS authentication and wasn't completed. Return to checkout and complete the bank verification.
  • I cancelled and lost access early. That shouldn't happen: cancellation is at period end. If you got locked out and that date hasn't arrived yet, contact support.
  • It won't let me switch to the Free plan from a paid plan. The downgrade to Free is not done by changing plan; first cancel the subscription and when the period expires the tenant lands on the free tier.
