What happens when I reach the limit?

What happens when your account reaches the monthly transaction or export limit, when the counter resets, and how to increase your capacity.

When your account reaches the monthly transaction or export limit, Mosce ERP shows a clear notice and blocks the operation that would exceed the limit - nothing is lost, and you have concrete options to continue. This article explains what you'll see, what to do, and when the counter automatically returns to zero.

Reading time: ~4 min

When to use this

  • A "plan limit reached" notice appeared when you tried to create an order, invoice, or another document.
  • You tried to download a report and received a quota-exhausted message.
  • You want to understand the recovery options before the month ends.

Before you start

  • See Usage limits by plan to understand what counts as a transaction or an export.
  • To upgrade your plan you need the tenant:billing permission or to be the account owner.

What happens when you reach the limit

The on-screen notice

When an action exceeds your monthly quota, Mosce ERP shows a "plan limit reached" message in the lower corner of the screen. The message indicates:

  • Which counter was exhausted (transactions or exports).
  • The current period and when the counter resets.
  • A direct link to Settings → My plan to update your subscription.

The operation is not performed - the document is not created and the download is not generated. Your history remains intact and no data is lost.

Which documents are blocked

While the transaction limit is exhausted:

  • You cannot create new orders, invoices, supplier invoices, or purchase orders.
  • Recurring templates also do not run automatically - the execution is skipped for that period; it is not rescheduled for later.
  • Read, update, and void operations on existing documents keep working normally.

While the export limit is exhausted:

  • CSV/PDF downloads from the Reports section are blocked.
  • You can keep viewing reports on screen - only downloads are blocked.

When the counter resets

The counter automatically returns to zero on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. No action is needed - the system resets it on its own.

If the current period resets on June 1 at 00:00 UTC, you can create invoices normally from that moment on, no matter how many you had created in May.

See the exact date: the current counter's reset date appears in Settings → My plan → Period usage.

Options when you reach the limit

Option 1 - Wait for the period reset

If the limit is reached near the end of the month, the simplest option is to wait for the automatic reset. No data is lost and blocked operations can be resumed on the 1st of the following month.

Option 2 - Upgrade your plan

If your business volume grew and you exceed the limit frequently, the recommended path is to update your subscription:

  1. Go to Settings → My plan (or click the link in the notice).
  2. Select the plan that fits your volume.
  3. Confirm the change. The new limit takes effect immediately - there's no need to wait for the next period.

Option 3 - Request a manual adjustment

In exceptional cases - year-end peaks, data migrations, unusual situations - the support team can authorize a manual adjustment of the period counter. This adjustment is discretionary and not guaranteed.

To request it, contact support from Settings → Support describing the reason and the additional volume you need.

Frequently asked questions

Do I lose the data I tried to save when I got the notice?

No. The blocked operation is not executed and no partial data is saved. You can try again when the period resets or after upgrading your plan.

Does the notice also arrive by email?

Currently the notice is only on screen (at the moment of the operation). If an automatic process (recurring template) fails due to the limit, no email notification arrives - check manually from Settings → My plan → Period usage near the end of the month if your volume is high.

If I upgrade mid-month, does the limit increase immediately?

Yes. The new limit takes effect immediately, not at the next period. Blocked operations can be resumed instantly.

Can I see the usage history of previous months?

The My plan screen shows only the current period's usage. For a historical analysis of document volume, use the sales or purchases report from the Reports section.
