The three report categories
Operational
Operational reports answer day-to-day questions: how much did I sell? who did I buy the most from? which products do I have in stock? These are the most frequently used reports for the everyday management of the business.
| Report | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Sales | How much revenue did I make, what was my cost, and what is my gross margin by period, product or customer? |
| Purchases | How much do my purchases add up to by period or by supplier? |
| Inventory | How much is my inventory worth right now, and which movements occurred during the period? |
| POS | How much did each session, register or cashier sell at the point of sale? |
| Rankings | What are my 10 best-selling products and my 10 best customers? |
Financial
Financial reports are geared toward accounting and period close. They require the Accounting module to be active.
| Report | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Balance sheet | What is the value of my assets, liabilities and equity as of a given date? |
| Income statement | How much did I earn or lose over a period? |
| Trial balance | Are the debits and credits for the period balanced? |
| General ledger | What are the movements of an accounting account during the period? |
Compliance
Compliance reports generate the files that DGII requires for tax filing and operations reporting. They require the Fiscal module to be active.
| Report | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| DGII reports (606, 607, 608) | Which sales, purchase and cancellation invoices do I file with DGII this month? |
See DGII reports for the step-by-step generation and submission process.
How to access the reports
- In the Mosce ERP main menu, click Reports.
- Select the category or the specific report you need in the left sidebar.
- Set the date range and any other available filters.
- View the data on screen or download the report as CSV or PDF.
A note on exports and the monthly quota
Each download of a report file (CSV or PDF) consumes one unit of your monthly export quota. Viewing a report on screen does not consume any quota.
If you reach the export limit before the end of the month, downloads are temporarily blocked. The counter resets on the 1st of each month. See Usage limits by plan to view your plan's limits.
Frequently asked questions
Can I view reports for previous periods?
Yes. All reports let you select a custom date range. You can consult any period since you started using Mosce ERP.
Do reports update in real time?
Operational reports (sales, purchases, inventory, POS, rankings) query data in real time at the moment you generate them - there is no cache. Financial and compliance reports also query in real time, but may require accounting periods to be closed to reflect final data.
Can I schedule a report to be sent automatically?
Currently reports are on demand - there is no scheduled automatic delivery. To automate recurring analysis, use the reports API available for Starter plans and above.
Can I share a report with someone outside Mosce ERP?
Download the report as PDF or CSV and share the file. There is no option to share a report link with direct external access.
