Data center - Introduction

Overview of the Data center: custom exports, imports with column mapping, templates, and job history.

Data center - Introduction

When the Export button of a list downloads more columns than you need, or when your CSV file does not fit the standard template exactly, the basic import and export tools are not enough. The Data center is the Mosce ERP surface designed for those cases: it gives you full control over which fields to export, which filters to apply, and how to map the columns of your own files.

Who has access?

The Data center is available on the Professional and Enterprise plans. If you are on the Free or Starter plan, the Data center is not available on your plan; when you try to use a tool, you will see an upgrade notice.

To see the Data center you need the data-tools:read permission. If you cannot access the section, ask whoever administers the account to assign you that permission.

How to get there

In the Mosce ERP side menu, look for the Tools group and click Data center. You will arrive at the Data center home page.

What is in the Data center?

The home page shows three navigation cards and a recent jobs section.

CardWhat you can do
Export dataBuild custom exports: choose the entity, select the fields you want to include, apply filters, and download the resulting CSV.
Import dataLoad records from any CSV with a 4-step wizard that includes column mapping for when your headers do not match the template.
TemplatesDownload the official CSV template of any entity to prepare your data before importing.

Recent jobs

Below the cards, the Recent jobs section shows your account's latest export and import jobs with their current status. The View all link takes you to the full history.

How is it different from the "Export" button in each section?

Mosce ERP offers two export and import surfaces:

  • Per-section buttons (in the Clients, Products, Invoices, etc. lists): these are quick operations that download or import with the default configuration - a fixed set of default fields, no custom filters, in CSV format.
  • Data center: it lets you choose exactly which fields to export, build advanced filters (by date range, value, text), reorder columns, and map your own headers when importing. It is the right option when you need a custom CSV or when your file does not follow the standard template format.

Both surfaces are recorded in the Data center's Job history, so you can track the status of any export or import - regardless of where you started it - from a single place. You can use the Source filter in the history to see only the jobs started from the Data center or only those started per section.
